Phil Bachelor

Phil Bachelor joined the team on 30 August 2021, bringing with him a wealth of experience gained over a successful 16-year career at Volkswagen Van Centre Birmingham, part of the Swansway Group.

Phil began his automotive journey as a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Apprentice, where he quickly established a reputation for his technical ability, dedication, and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Through hard work and continuous professional development, he progressed to become a Master Technician, one of the highest levels of technical accreditation within the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle network.

Building on his technical expertise, Phil moved into management, ultimately taking on the role of Service Manager. In this position, he was responsible for leading the aftersales department, managing workshop operations, developing his team, and ensuring consistently high levels of customer satisfaction. His combination of hands-on technical knowledge and commercial leadership gave him a comprehensive understanding of every aspect of the customer journey.

As Sales Director at Van Guru, Phil oversees the day-to-day sales operation, leading the sales team and ensuring customers receive expert advice, outstanding service, and the right commercial vehicle solutions for their needs. His extensive industry knowledge, practical experience, and customer-first approach play a key role in driving the company’s continued growth and maintaining the high standards that Van Guru is known for.
